Hachijo's weather is renowned for being changeable. Sunny one minute rainy the next. Recorded temperatures ranged from as low as 0.8°C to as high as 35°C. Rainy season running from mid June to mid July is the wettest time on the island. Typhoons are another regular occurence here. The main time to watch for typhoons is September but rogue ones can strike as early as July or as late as October.
