Hachijojima is one of Tokyo's best kept secrets
due to it's distance from the mainland. Historically
it was an isle of exile for convicts. These days it's
easy to get here and make the return trip at your leisure!
There are nightly ferry departures from Takeshiba port
in Tokyo. And four flights per day from Tokyo's Haneda
Airport. All transportation is at the whim of the weather
and cancellations do happen so be sure to confirm bookings
and watch the weather reports so as not to be disappointed!..
Ten hours might seem like a long time but there's plenty
