Hachijojima, one of the Izu seven islands, situated
290km's South of Tokyo is a semi tropical paradise.
From swimming in mountain waterfalls to diving in crystal
clear waters, Hachijo is just waiting to be explored.
A nightly ferry ride from Tokyo's Takeshiba port see's
you stepping off onto a stunning island which has sister
city relations with Maui for obvious reasons. Or take
a mere 45min flight, departing four times daily, from
Tokyo's Haneda Airport. Escape the city for an island

Kojima is a small uninhabitated island situated opposite
Hachijo Island and is only accessible by boat. Day trips
to kojima island for fishing, snorkelling, swimming and
exploring are available for the adventurous.

Hidden waterfalls of Hachijo are just waiting to be
discovered. Swim in crystal clear mountain pools. Spectacular
views and excellent photographic opportunities can be
found in many locales on the island. 
Hachijojima's

Hachijojima
was designated a penal colony in 1608. Sites of interest
like the round stone walls pictured here are prevalent
on Hachijojima.
